Saving performances from CompCS

Lots of people asking this...nothing new under the sun, since you are still using CompCS or MultiRider III, without limits. Read on.

Saving performances from CompCS

ErgVideo uses CompCS without limits. CompCS automatically saves your performance data in the folder:

Windows XP: C:\Program Files\CompCS\perfs
Windows Vista: C:\CompCS\perfs

Most recent performances for each rider are in files with filenames as name-ergfilename-Year-month-day-time.cdf

To export to readable text format for both WKO+ or ERG+, you must use CompCS to export to txt.

In CompCS, select File...export...export and navigate to the .cdf file of your CompCS performance, in the "perfs" subdirectory.

You can select the info to export under File...export..export options. I recommend a "toss" of 10 to 30, so that you get samples from .3 seconds to 1 second, respectively. Otherwise the file is excessively long and 30ms isn't really necessary for WKO+.

For WKO+ only, you need to set the export options to "short format" and "comma delimited. Erg+ does not require this setting.

WKO+ and Erg+ will be able to import the resulting performance file. Erg+ only reads your power, never HR nor cadence etc, as it is not a full analysis tool like WKO+ is.
